DEPED-GENERAL TRIAS PUSHES FOR STRONGER PARENT, TEACHER COLLABORATION
DEVELOPING the skills and knowledge of children entails a strong collaboration between teachers and parents.
The Department of Education in General Trias, Cavite City is boosting the long-standing relationship of the school and parents now that a new learning method is introduced when classes begin on October 5.
DepEd-General Trias recently launched Oplan USAP or Unified Support and Assistance of Parents, which aims to strengthen the relationship between the parents and teachers and highlight their important role in educating the youth in the new normal.
“Topics were the participation of parents in an Online Distance Learning Delivery, Modular Distance Learning and Assessment; Health Protocols at home; and the essential engagement of stakeholders amidst Covid19 Pandemic,” said Dr. Rizal Vidallo, one of the resource persons at the webinar.
Around 17,000 parents from General Trias have joined the webinar. The resource speakers explained the initiatives and answered queries regarding the ‘new normal in education’. The local government unit also took part in the webinar.
During the webinar’s ‘Log in Usapan @ SDO’, there was also an open forum where representatives of the Schools Division Office and the teachers addressed concerns about safety, security, and services; quality on learning delivery modalities; and quorum, quality, and quotient in the new normal.
This initiative aims to prioritize the safety of all stakeholders while delivering quality education amid the pandemic.
