DEPED BEGINS RELEASE OF YEAR-END INCENTIVES
THE DEPARTMENT of Education has begun the release of year-end incentives to its personnel.
The incentives cover the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), the Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive for eligible personnel, and gratuity pay for contract-based workers.
According to DepEd, the incentive package covers around one million employees nationwide. Teachers and non-teaching personnel will receive ₱20,000 in SRI and ₱5,000 in PEI. Non-teaching staff are also set to receive an additional ₱10,000 CNA incentive, while contract of service and job order workers will receive up to ₱7,000 in gratuity pay, depending on length of service.
Those entitled to the SRI include DepEd personnel with regular, contractual, and co-terminus appointments across central, regional, division, and school offices.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa mga guro at kawani ng DepEd na patuloy na nagpapatakbo ng ating sistema ng edukasyon,” said Education Secretary Sonny Angara.
“Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit malaki ang budget ng edukasyon, at tungkulin naming tiyakin na ito ay nagreresulta sa mga benepisyo at serbisyong karapat-dapat sa inyo.”
DepEd will also release the PEI to eligible personnel, as mandated under Executive Order No. 201. The PEI is intended to help improve productivity in government service and is granted on top of other bonuses and incentives.depdedddedekemfmkfelndde
