THE DEPARTMENT of Education Schools Division Office-Baguio City held a Barangay Pagbasa Orientation to develop a Community Reading Program.

According to its post, the activity aimed to bring together barangay officials and DepEd representatives to develop a collaborative Community Reading Program.

This program has been designed to enhance the reading skills of learners across Baguio City barangays, it added.

DepEd-Baguio said that it will ensure the program’s effectiveness and allow DepEd to provide necessary technical assistance.

“This plan will guide the implementation of the program and set the goal of improving reading proficiency to grade level while nurturing a love for reading among learners.”

Schools Division Superintendent Soraya Faculo highlighted the importance of making reading enjoyable for students.
