DAVAO Oriental Congressman Cheeno Almario and Davao Oriental State University founder Joel Mayo Almario donated P6 million to 1,200 students of District 2.

The donation will support students who are not covered by the Free Higher Education Program.

The University stressed the importance of the financial support as it will allow poor students to pursue their education.

“This initiative exemplifies the collaborative strength of public servants and community leaders, working together to invest in a brighter future,” the university said in a post.

Representative Almario reiterated the role of education in advancing progress, while the DOrSU founder expressed his joy in helping students realize their academic goals.
