CREATION OF ANTIPOLO CITY TESDA CENTER TO SERVE 16 BARANGAYS

SENATOR Imee Marcos filed a bill establishing a Technical Education Skills Development Authority and Assessment Center in Antipolo City, Rizal.

In Senate Bill 1773 or the proposed Antipolo City TESDA Training and Assessment Center Act, Marcos stressed the availability or access to education is the foundation of development of the human capital of any country.

“The quality of a country’s human capital, which is nurtured through education, determines the course of its national development,” Marcos said in her explanatory note.

The senator added access to education should be inclusive to ensure the equitable spread of these learning programs.

“Remote areas in the country should have equal access to these learning opportunities,” she added.

The bill seeks to establish TESDA Skills and Training and Accreditation Center in Antipolo City to serve 16 barangays.

“The establishment of a training and assessmment center shall equip the citizens with basic practical knowledge and technical expertise, and is geared towards a society that would be self-reliant, productive and more importantly, employable,” Marcos stressed.
