THE DEPARTMENT of Education has debunked circulating posts claiming that Christmas parties in schools have been removed.

DepEd clarified that the post is “fake news” and stressed that it has not issued any such announcement.

“Fake news ang kumakalat na post tungkol sa umano’y pagtanggal ng Christmas Party sa mga paaralan.”

“Nilinaw ng DepEd na wala itong inilalabas na anunsiyo tulad nito.”

The department also reminded the public to remain vigilant and to report pages that spread false information.

“For official updates, visit only the verified DepEd Philippines social media accounts and website,” it added.
