/ 29 May 2026

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with the University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila), has opened applications for the Bio-health Education Artificial Intelligence-enabled through Capacity-building, Optimization, and Innovation (BEACON) Program.

The BEACON Program features strategic learning clusters designed to complement existing micro-credential courses offered through open learning platforms.

According to CHED, the initiative aims to upskill and reskill biomedical faculty members and staff to help address the shortage of healthcare professionals, meet the growing demand for healthcare services, and adapt to rapid technological advancements in the sector.

CHED said interested applicants may access the memorandum containing application templates, submission deadlines, and other program details through the Office of the Chairperson.

For inquiries, applicants may send an email to [email protected].

Additional information is also available through CHED’s Faculty Grants page.
