CHED TO CONDUCT VACCINATION CARAVAN IN HEIs NATIONWIDE
THE COMMISSION on Higher Education on Monday said that it will conduct vaccination caravans nationwide for students, student athletes and higher education personnel.
CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said the move will help achieve herd immunity against coronavirus disease in universities and colleges nationwide.
De Vera said the commission will start the caravan on Wednesday, October 13, at Mabalacat City College and Our Lady of Fatima University in San Fernando Pampanga.
The next caravan will be at University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao on Oct. 14.
Meanwhile, student athletes of the University Athletics Association of the Philippines and National Collegiate Athletic Association will be vaccinated at the University of the Philippines next week.
“This is to highlight the urgency of vaccination and encourage all education personnel faculty, administrators, and students to immediately get vaccinated,” the CHED chief said.
