AFTER allowing face-to-face classes for medical courses, the Commission on Higher Education is now considering the possibility of resuming in-person learning for Hotel Management program, according to University of the East President Ester Garcia.

Garcia said that the commission will soon discuss plans to allow limited face-to-face classes for the Hospitality Management program, in addition to Engineering and Information Technology courses.

“CHED told us that they are now discussing limited face-to-face classes also for Engineering, IT, and Hospitality Management,” she said.

Garcia said that the same protocols applied to medical students allowed to attend physical classes will also be applied for the other programs.

The CHED earlier announced that it may include engineering, IT, industrial technology, and maritime programs for the second batch of face-to-face classes to be reopened.

These courses need in-person classes because there are a lot of hands-on activities that cannot be taught virtually.
