CHED EYES LIMITED F2F CLASSES FOR ALL PROGRAMS IN 2022
LIMITED face-to-face classes for all degree programs is possible in the first quarter of 2022, the Commission on Higher Education said.
LIMITED face-to-face classes for all degree programs is possible in the first quarter of 2022, the Commission on Higher Education said.
“Conceptually, kung mababa ang risk level at mataas ang vaccination rate — both within the school and within the community, facilities are retrofitted, local government is on board, then we can look into possibility of limited face-to-face in all degree programs,” CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said.
“Right now, the experts are starting to craft the guidelines. Our timeline there, to put in on board, is maybe early next year or the second semesters of schools,” he added.
The commission aims to ramp up vaccination in schools in December.
To date, at least 181 higher education institutions nationwide have been authorized by CHED and Department of Health to conduct limited face-to-face classes.
De Vera earlier said that the agency is studying the possibility of reopening schools in areas with low Covid19 risk and high vaccination rate.
