COMMISSION on Higher Education Chairperson Prospero de Vera III said that the educational collaboration in higher education between the Philippines and Canada is of “paramount importance” as it will lead to the advancement of global knowledge and solutions.
“It’s not just about fostering academic relationships; it’s about building bridges of knowledge and understanding that span continents and cultures,” De Vera said in his opening remarks during the Philippines-Canada Higher Education Forum on November 7, 2023 at the Fairmont Makati.

“Our joint efforts can elevate the rankings of our institutions and establish a strong presence on the global arena. As we look to the future of higher education collaboration between the Philippines and Canada, we envision a journey marked by innovation and inclusivity,” he added.
“Our partnership will enrich our academic communities, resulting in a more profound and holistic understanding of the world,” the CHED chief said.
