CALOOCAN CITY PROMOTES EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES; OVER 5,600 RESIDENTS GRADUATE FROM FREE SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM

/ 25 July 2025

IN ITS ongoing commitment to uplift the lives of its citizens, the Caloocan City government has reported that 5,648 residents have graduated from the Caloocan City Manpower Training Center (CCMTC) during Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan’s first term, from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2025.

The CCMTC offers free skills training in various fields, equipping residents with knowledge and competencies to improve employment prospects or start their own businesses.

“As part of our efforts to ensure equal opportunities for all, we continue to hone the skills and knowledge of Batang Kankaloo through the CCMTC,” Malapitan said in a statement.

“This is how we turn action and compassion into real impact,” he added.

Aside from free training, graduates also receive starter kits tailored to their courses, enabling them to start small businesses or pursue careers in their chosen fields immediately.

The program is open to all Caloocan residents aged 17 and above — including senior citizens — who are eager to learn and develop new skills.

Through CCMTC, the city government reinforces its vision of inclusive growth and accessible livelihood opportunities for every resident, helping strengthen the city’s workforce and local economy.
