ASIA PACIFIC COLLEGE PARTNERSHIP WITH GLOBE BENEFITS PASAY STUDENTS
STUDENTS in Pasay City were granted access to the internet through the collaboration between the Asia Pacific College and Globe Telecom.
The partnership benefited 171 students from three public schools in Pasay.
“In line with Globe’s objective to contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, we make it a priority to assist schools in providing Filipino students with quality education,” Globe Senior Vice President for Business Peter Maquera said.
“Partnering with APC allows us to leverage our solutions to help public school students become business leaders and ICT professionals in the future. By supporting the JDVP-TVL (Joint Delivery Voucher Program-Technical Vocational Livelihood), we’re able to grant them access to educators, learning content, and online resources, anytime and anywhere,” he added.
The company provided Globe Prepaid Internet Kits and load to senior high school students.
“What was supplied to students during JDVP, for two months, was not only connectivity through the Wi-Fi kits, but also the freedom to learn,” APC President Dr. Tata Pastor Medado said.
