ANOTHER 100 COLLEGE STUDENTS RECEIVE FINANCIAL GRANT UNDER CHED’S SMART PROGRAM

/ 30 April 2024

CAVITE 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla has led the distribution of financial grant of P25,000 to another batch of the top 100 college scholars of the province’s first congressional district.

The financial grant is part of the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition or SMART program of the Commission on Higher Education.

The program aims to provide a one-time fixed grant to college students for their school-related expenses.

The top 100 scholars from Rosario, Noveleta, Kawit, and Cavite City were selected based on their general weighted average during the second semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023.

“Kayo talaga ang inspirasyon namin sa paglilingkod, dahil naniniwala ako na ngayon ay talagang panahon ng ating mga kabataan,” Revilla said.

The solon also expressed gratitude to the parents and guardians of the college scholars for supporting and guiding the youth.

The first batch of the district’s top 100 scholars received their P25,000 grant in January.
