EDUCATION Secretary Sonny Angara urged education stakeholders to collaborate on transformative reforms that will empower Filipinos.

“As members of the Department of Education, we understand that educational excellence is a collective journey. Each one of us plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our students,” Angara said at the Department of Education Region III’s 2024 Education Week.

“Transformative education goes beyond teaching—it’s about creating a culture of growth, collaboration, and empowerment for both educators and learners,” he added.

The Education Secretary reiterated the agency’s commitment to addressing key challenges, such as improving school resources, advancing teacher welfare and development, and addressing socio-economic issues like malnutrition and poverty that hinder students’ learning.

He also commended DepEd Region III for organizing the event.
