EIGHT policemen from different units of the Philippine National Police received full scholarship for higher studies from the Ateneo De Manila University.
During the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar with National Police Commission Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Vitaliano Aguirre Jr., Ateneo School of Government Dean Ronal Mendoza and Pastor Cirilo Sazon of Bless Our Cops Movement, Inc. awarded the eight chosen police officers with the Certificates of Scholarship.
The police officers received the full scholarship grant for a degree in Master in Public Management after they passed the stringent screening process.
It is under the PNP, ASOG and BOC Emerging Leaders Fellowship Grant which aims to develop the best and brightest of the police force and strengthen its leadership pipeline.
“I express my sincere appreciation to Ateneo de Manila University School of Government and Bless Our Cops Movement Inc. for extending this wonderful privilege and opportunity to police personnel and for the continuing support to PNP’s learning and growth program for the benefit of every member of the organization,” Eleazar said.
Also during the ceremony, Eleazar led the launch of the Internal Disciplinary Mechanism Information System, which will be an integral tool in the “Cleanliness in the Ranks” project of the PNP.
Eleazar said the electronic system will help PNP’s Internal Affairs Service in making accurate assessment of the state of discipline of a personnel.
