ACT BLASTS DEPED OVER DELAYED PBB

THE ALLIANCE of Concerned Teachers hit the Department of Education for the slow processing of documents that led to the delayed payment of the Performance-Based Bonus of teachers.
“Napagtrabahuan na ito ng mga guro noon pang 2021, DepEd has all the time to process it accordingly and timely. It’s 2 years delayed already yet madedelay pa ulit dahil sa kapalpakan ng DepEd na i-ensure ang forms na ipapasa nito sa DBM. Nasa payroll na ito bakit nagkakamali pa?” Vladimer Quetua, the group’s national chairperson, said.
The group called on DepEd to align its priorities and to immediately submit the needed forms to the Department of Budget and Management for the release of the bonus.
Teachers deserve to be paid timely. Sobra-sobra na ang 2 years na delay, dapat maibigay na as soon as possible itong PBB 2022,” he said.
The DBM on Tuesday gave assurances that it will release the budget for the 2021 bonus as long as the proper documents are submitted.
