AROUND 2,000 qualified youth beneficiaries in Agusan del Norte received an assistance package from the government’s program for scholarships.

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, assisted by Agusan Del Norte 1st District Rep. Jose Aquino and Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. led the distribution of the assistance package under the Integrated Scholarship and Incentives Program.

The 2,000 qualified youth beneficiaries received the packages in a program held at the Philippine Science High School Gymnasium in Barangay Tiniwisan, Butuan City.

The program targets students in the tertiary and vocational levels who may be struggling with financial issues.

The beneficiaries stand to receive cash assistance every six months for tuition and other expenses, among others.

Also present during the event were over 60 other House members led by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio ‘Dong’ Gonzales Jr., Deputy Speaker David ‘Jay-jay’ Suarez, and Majority Leader Manuel Jose ‘Mannix’ Dalipe.
