10K BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM INTEGRATED SCHOLARSHIP AND INCENTIVES FOR THE YOUTH PROGRAM

HOUSE Speaker Martin Romualdez led the distribution of cash assistance to 10,000 beneficiaries of Integrated Scholarship and Incentives for the Youth or ISIP for the Youth Program.

The cash distribution was part of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair held at the RDM Gym, Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City on Friday.

Romualdez stressed that the program is in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to help the public, especially the youth’s education.

For his part, House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias Gabonada, Jr., head of the BPSF National Secretariat, said under the program, each beneficiary will receive P2,000 cash assistance every six months and 5 kilos of rice.

Aside from financial and rice assistance, they can enroll in the Tulong Dunong Program of the Commission on Higher Education where they can be given P15,000 scholarship assistance per semester.

The beneficiaries will also be prioritized under the Government Internship Program so that they will have a job upon graduation.

Meanwhile, their unemployed parents or guardians can also avail of the TUPAD program of the Department of Labor and Employment the office of the Speaker said.
