MARIKINA MAYOR EYES REELECTION
MARIKINA City Mayor Marcelino ‘Marcy’ Teodoro on Friday filed his certificate of candidacy for reelection.
Teodoro called for unity and asked candidates to set aside politics to defeat the Covid19 pandemic.
He said that public health will be his focus.
Traditionally, last day naman talaga ako nagpa-file. Inuuna muna natin ‘yung mga nasa lineup natin, mga konseha,” the mayor said.
Teodoro said he will continue the “people-centered” programs he started and sustain the progress of Marikina.
Paano mo i-establish ‘yung minimum public health standards in a public setting. We will be needing statutory framework for this matter.
Teodoro expressed sadness that his former ally, Marikina 1st District Representative Bayani Fernando, also sought the mayoral post.
“We backed his candidacy for the congressional post.
