SENATOR Panfilo Lacson pledged to immediately get to work to help Filipinos recover from devastating effects of the pandemic if he is elected President.

The Partido Reporma chairman and standard- bearer stressed the need to invest in human capital — 40 million working Filipinos — so the country can rise again.

Lacson said if he wins next year, “we intend to address the pressing concern of everyone: Paano makakabangon ang bansa sa pagkakalugmok?”

According to official statistics, the country had 41.94 million people employed in 2019, which dropped to 39.38 million in 2020 because of the Covid19 pandemic.

Lacson believes that apart from investing in human capital, the key to the country’s recovery is judicious spending.

Lacson noted that he and running mate Senate President Vicente Sotto III have the best track record in addressing graft and corruption among the candidates for the May 9 national elections.

If he wins, the former national police chief pledged to lead by example.
