PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio called on the government to ensure the safety of overseas Filipino workers who plan to spend Christmas in the Philippines.
We need to make sure that they are safe from Covid19 sa pag-uwi nila sa bansa,” the BBM-Sara UniTeam said.
The tandem urged the government to intensify its strict implementation of health protocols amid the threat of Omicron, the new variant of Covid19.
Let’s have them celebrate safely with their families,” they said.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration earlier said that it expects 80,000 to 100,000 OFWs will come home to celebrate the holiday season with their families.
