SEVERAL local officials in Basilan, including Governor Jim Salliman and Vice Governor Yusop Alano, are seeking reelection.

Salliman and Alano filed their certificates of candidacy for their third and final term.

They will be running under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipinas-Lakas ng Bayan.

Lantawan Mayor Nursiya Ismael also filed her COC for a second term on Friday, October 8.

Nursiya was accompanied by her husband and running mate, Rustam Ismael, and their eight bets for councilor.

They are running under the United Bangsamoro Justice Party.

In Isabela City, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman and Vice Mayor Kifli Hataman-Salliman filed their COCs for reelection last Thursday, October 7.

Tipo-Tipo Mayor Arcam Patarasa Istarul and Vice Mayor Tong Istarul are also seeking fresh terms.

In Sumisip municipality, Mayor Jul-Annan ‘Julz’ Hataman and his father, Vice Mayor Gulam ‘Boy’ Salliman-Hataman, filed their COCs on Monday, October 4 for a second term.

In Tuburan municipality, Mayor Durie Kallahal filed his COC for his last term as provincial board member.

Meanwhile, Basilan Representative Mujiv Hataman filed his COC for reelection on Friday, October 8.
