MORE than 400 law students from the University of Santo Tomas supported the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo.

In a statement, the students said they deemed Robredo as a “candidate [that] stands out above the rest.”

They stressed that Robredo has an “excellent track record” as a legislator and “exceeded what people usually expect” from a vice president, particularly achieving the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit for three consecutive years.

“One of the most important teachings in law school with regard to public officials is that public office is a public trust. Integrity is one of the most crucial characteristics we should look for in a candidate,” they pointed out.

“Despite numerous efforts in tainting the name of this candidate, it does not change the fact that she is the ‘best man for the job.’ The facts are clear and the facts do not lie. She has gone above and beyond in order to ensure the best service to the Filipino people,” the students added.

Earlier, at least 400 professors of UST also expressed support to Robredo for her
exemplary leadership.
