1PACMAN Party-list will shoulder the cost of surgery of at least 300 children suffering from congenital heart disease.

1PACMAN Party-list Representative Deputy Speaker Michael ‘Mikee’ A. Romero and Rep. Enrico ‘Eric’ Pineda initiated the program, “Save A Child’s Heart Project” in 2017.

The group had so far shouldered the expenses of 1,250 minors with the disease.

“It’s a different feeling seeing these children smile again and knowing that they will lead a normal kid’s life. Parents have been profuse with gratitude for what we have done but all I ask them in return is to pray that we may save the lives of more children with CHD,” Romero said.

The surgery of the children in the new batch was scheduled immediately after the holidays.

Pineda said that such kind of operations are urgent.

“Almost all of our beneficiaries come from poor families, who were made even poorer because of the economic effects of the pandemic,” he added.
