WESTERN VISAYAS STATE U RECEIVES P1M FOR RESEARCH

THE WESTERN Visayas State University received a P1-million grant from the Department of Agriculture that will be used in a study to help local government units.
The university will use the money to conduct a rapid appraisal study to assess the resources and capabilities that can provide extension services on agriculture and fisheries.
The study will help establish the Agriculture and Fishery Extension System in Region 6.
WVSU and DA-RFO-6 officials signed a memorandum of agreement Thursday for the fund transfer.
The project will last for a year.
