THE WESTERN Visayas State University has admitted 1,645 students in its main campus for Academic Year 2021-2022.

A report from the Forum-Dimensions, the official student publication of the campus, said that the number is roughly 20 percent of the total applicants.

University President Joselito Villaruz said that the applicants were rigidly screened.

He added that only those who met  the standards of the WVSU were accepted.

“As WVSU commits to [developing] life-long learners, it also expects a lot from you. You will be carrying a Taga-West mark wherever you go, and much is expected from you,” Villaruz said on Facebook page.

He added that out of the 2,875 applicants for its College of Nursing, only 132 or three percent were accepted.
