VISAYAS STATE U TO HOLD LIMITED F2F CLASSES

/ 8 March 2022

THE VISAYAS State University will resume face-to-face classes on the second semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.

VSU President Edgardo Tulin said the resumption of in-person learning will be limited to graduating undergraduate and graduate students.

“Today, I am happy to announce that we will now be gradually opening our university once again for the conduct of limited face-to-face classes this semester,” Tulin said.

“The University Administrative Council decided that it is time to welcome you back – with the approval of the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Health, and our Local Government Unit – after much deliberation and assessment of the Covid19 situation in the region and respective location of our students,” he added.

To join face-to-face sessions, students will need to present a vaccination card indicating that they are fully vaccinated and a medical insurance policy.

Tulin urged students to attend the onboarding event on March 12 for them to know how to prepare for school reopening.

“Rest assured that VSU administration, faculty, and staff have been working so hard to ensure that our university reopens with everyone’s safety in mind,” he said.

Tulin added that more degree programs will be permitted to conduct physical classes beginning March 21 once the university gets the Safety Seal from CHED.
