VISAYAS STATE U PRODUCES 5 NEW LICENSED MECHANICAL ENGINEERS
FIVE graduates of Visayas State University successfully passed the August 2025 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination.
The new licensees are Engr. Victor J. Adolof Jr., Engr. Roseben Q. Bañez, Engr. Darrel M. Hindoy, Engr. Ralph Roland S. Pagalan, and Engr. Luke Enrico T. Salve.
VSU posted a 50% passing rate among its two first-time takers and an overall performance of 41.67%, slightly above the national average.
This follows the university’s strong showing in the February 2025 MELE, when 30 graduates earned their licenses.
Nationwide, the Professional Regulation Commission reported that 1,554 out of 3,808 examinees (40.81%) passed the exam, held from August 9 to 11 in major testing centers nationwide.
Engr. Vic Angelo Impas, head of VSU’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, congratulated the new engineers and encouraged them to remain determined as they begin their professional careers.
“Congratulations to the newest registered Mechanical Engineers! The next battle lies ahead in choosing the right path and thriving in your career… Whatever challenges may come, believe that you can overcome them. That is the spirit of a true #ProudViscan,” he said.
