VISAYAS STATE U OFFICIALS HELP CLEAN CAMPUS

/ 14 January 2022

OFFICIALS and employees of the Visayas State University helped in the clean-up operations in the main campus.

VSU President Edgardo Tulin shared on Facebook that employees of the university joined hands in clearing the debris left by Typhoon Odette.

The typhoon ravaged the university, leaving parts of the campus running on generator weeks after.

Tulin said that the clean-up initiative was part of preparations for the implementation of limited face-to-face classes in February.

“Because of the damage of Typhoon Odette, we needed everyone’s help to clear our campus of the debris to hopefully prepare ourselves for limited [F2F] classes that will soon be implemented next month,” Tulin said on Facebook.

“May activities like this strengthen our civic consciousness and continue to fire up the spirit of volunteerism here in our beloved university,” he added.
