VISAYAS STATE U GRAD TOPS LICENSURE EXAM FOR CHEMISTS
A GRADUATE of Visayas State University Baybay topped the Chemist Licensure Examination given this month by the Professional Regulation Commission.
Krizzia Mae Dampios Ignacio led the successful examinees with a rating of 92.60 percent.
Richard Calderon Biescas came in second with 91.95 percent, followed by Larz Emmanuel Villamin Labsan of University of the Philippines Diliman with 89.70.
The PRC said 594 out of 1,148 examinees passed the test held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.
UP Diliman was the top performing school with 54 of its 65 examinees passing, translating to a passing rate of 83.08 percent.
Meanwhile, 2,600 out of 3,138 test takers passed the Chemical Technician Licensure Exam.
Aissa Marie Bucayan Flores of Cebu Institute of Technology-University and Marjorie Del Campo Ocampo of UP Los Baños both clinched the top spot with a rating of 92.50 percent.
The best-performing schools with 50 or more examinees were the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas and Pamatansan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, with all its test takers succeeding.
