UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II has received the 2023 Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award.

USTP said that Cultura is among the eight Presidential Lingkod Bayan awardees, where five educators and three teams were awarded the Presidential Lingkod Bayan for their impact on public interest, security, and patrimony.

The university said that Cultura won the award for his performance impact, sustainability, reliability, and consistency, which aligns with the rigorous evaluation process undertaken by the Civil Service Commission.

“…his advocacy for solar power research and community outreach has provided sustainable solutions to address electricity disruptions, benefiting numerous communities,” USTP said on its website.

Cultura was awarded at the Centennial Hall Malacañan Palace last February 14, 2024, by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

He is also previously awarded as the CSC Presidential Lingkod Bayan Regional Winner in 2021, among other local and national recognitions.
