USTP OROQUIETA SIGNS TESDA PARTNERSHIP, EARNS ACCREDITATION AS ASSESSMENT CENTER
THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta has strengthened its commitment to technical-vocational education by formalizing a partnership with TESDA Region 10 and securing accreditation as an official assessment center.
A memorandum of agreement was recently signed, establishing system-wide collaboration between USTP and TESDA to align technical training with higher education and improve employability outcomes.
USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II and TESDA Region 10 Director Mr. Rafael Y. Abrogar II led the signing, marking a milestone in institutional cooperation for workforce development.
Last week, USTP Oroquieta advanced the partnership further after receiving a Certificate of Accreditation from TESDA Region 10, designating the campus as an Assessment Center for Bread and Pastry Production NC II.
The accreditation followed an onsite inspection of the campus Food Laboratory on December 12, 2025, conducted by TESDA’s regional certification and provincial inspection teams, which confirmed the facility’s compliance with industry standards.
University and TESDA officials said the agreement and accreditation will enhance education-to-employment pathways in Misamis Occidental by expanding access to skills training and nationally recognized certification.
