THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines now offers certified programs of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

The programs, under the university’s Institute of Continuing Education and Training, are believed to benefit both the university and other stakeholders.

ICET, an enterprise approved by the board of regents, offers vocational programs across the university system.

These programs include Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing, Automotive Servicing and Food Processing.

University and TESDA officials visited the facilities that will be used in the new programs.

These include a Mechatronics Laboratory, Communication and Digital Lab, Automation, Instrumentation, Process Control Lab and a Bread and Pastry, Food Processing and Cookery department.
