USTP LAUNCHES NTC APP
THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines unveiled a new application for the National Telecommunications Commission that aims to digitize the services of the agency.
The app called the National Telecommunications Commission Electronic Data Governance and Evaluation or NTC-EDGE System is a collaborative project between USTSP and NTC.
The app will enable users to easily access the services of NTC like licenses, permits, certifications and complaints.
The university also said that NTC-EDGE will limit physical transactions.
The application is also a “cheaper alternative to current similar online platforms” as it is exclusive for the agency’s use.
“The kiosks and equipment will be essential in helping communities, especially those who are from far-flung barangays, conveniently submit applications and requests for NTC-related services online,” USTP said.
The application was turned over by the university to the NTC in a ceremony on Tuesday.
