UST WINS BEST ORAL PRESENTER AWARD IN INT’L NURSING CONFERENCE
THE COLLEGE of Nursing of the University of Santo Tomas won the Best Oral Presenter Award at the 2023 International Scientific Conference in Nursing.
Jonathan Josh Duran and Rhon Silhouette Louisse Empaynado presented their research titled “The Relationship between Perceived Autonomy, Functional Performance, and Quality of Life among Community-Dwelling Filipino Older Adults.”
It was awarded the Best Oral Presenter in Supporting the Practice and Nursing Education Category.
Their research adviser was Assistant Professor Ritzmond Loa.
On the other hand, the research of Jeremiah Victoria Dimasacat and Kylie Alexis Folloso titled “Relationship of Sleep Quality to Anxiety and Academic Engagement of Nursing Students” was featured in a poster presentation.
Loa also served as their research adviser.
Meanwhile, Francis Roy Gonzales and J-Ross Guillermo, along with College of Nursing Dean Rowena Escolar-Chua and Dr. Charito Malong-Consolacion, presented their research on “Relationship of Blended Learning Satisfaction with Self-Efficacy and Work Readiness of Nursing Graduates.”
The conference was hosted by the UP College of Nursing and co-hosted by the UST College of Nursing, together with various universities and healthcare institutions nationwide.
