UST STUDENTS TAKE PART IN SEA OIL PH’S CONSUMER MARKET PLANNING

STUDENTS from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management program of the University of Santo Tomas recently participated in a series of consumer market planning activities organized by SEA OIL Philippines.

The students namely, Anica Monique Andulan, Adrian Aggabao, Khirvy Dy, Gabriel Flores, Kurt Garcia, Kenneth Olivares, MillenrossPalomo, Jenn Chloe Raquepo, Daryll Sallan, and Vince Solis lent their services during the event, engaging in real-life corporate practice of marketing management even while in school.

“The students’ research outputs were translated into strategic action plans for SEA OIL Philippines’ adoption, in keeping with the university’s recently signed agreement with the company,” said the school.

They were guided by Market Research adviser Antonio Etrata and Department of Marketing Management Chair Francis Lawrence de Jesus.

Last year, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the university and company officials.

Under the MoA, marketing management students of UST will design, implement, and turn over marketing research deliverables for SEA OIL.

According to De Jesus, the pact allow students to achieve learning outcomes grounded on real-world scenarios from the perspective of the one of the biggest and most respected corporations in the country.

In attendance during the final meeting were SEA OIL officials, namely Chief Financial Officer and President for Retail Business Mark You, Vice-President for Corporate and Consumer Marketing Jose Jaime dela Fuente, Corporate Consumer Marketing Department Senior Manager Serge Rodriguez, Knowledge Base Supervisor Gia Guevarra, Program Roll-outs Supervisor Martin Tiosejo, and members of the Corporate Consumer Marketing Team.
