UST-SHS PARTNERS WITH CCP
TO ENHANCE students’ knowledge on music and arts, the University of Santo Tomas Senior High School has partnered with the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
A Memorandum of Agreement was signed by UST Rector Fr. Richard Ang and CCP President Maria Margarita “Margie” Moran-Floirendo.
The partnership will implement “SINING SA ESKWELA ARTS”, a capacity-building and professional development training program for the SHS Music, Arts, and Design track students.
The Sining sa Ekswela will be integrated into the academic offerings of the SHS, which offers the Music, Arts, and Design track and the Contemporary Philippine Art from the Regions across all strands.
Also included in the agreement are Sining Alamin, which involves exposure to performances and activities at CCP and curriculum-based apprenticeship; Arts Online Talk, which will feature artists and experts; and Arts Academy, which will capacitate basic education teachers.
The project will be implemented for three years.
