UST RESUMES LIMITED F2F CLASSES FOR MEDTECH STUDENTS
MEDICAL Technology students at the University of Santo Tomas resumed limited face-to-face laboratory classes this week.
This was made possible after the National Capital Region was placed under a more relaxed quarantine level starting on October 16.
In August, classes and office work in UST shifted to remote setup following the implementation of strict community quarantine protocols in NCR.
Under Alert Level 3, classes in higher education and technical-vocational education training permitted by the President can resume onsite learning.
In January, President Rodrigo Duterte allowed the conduct of limited in-person classes for medicine and allied health courses.
Last month, Duterte approved the expansion of limited F2F classes to include other degree programs that “require hands-on experience” in areas that are under Modified General Community Quarantine.
These programs are Engineering and Technology, Hospitality/Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism/Travel Management, Marine Engineering and Marine Transportation.
