/ 30 September 2025

A UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas official has been re-elected as Trustee-at-Large of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP), securing another three-year mandate following a vote at the group’s annual convention in Cebu City.

UST Assistant Dean and Behavioral Science scholar Assoc. Prof. John Manuel R. Kliatchko will serve from 2025 to 2028, contributing to the finalization of the Career Progression and Specialization Program.

The program aims to establish clear professional pathways for psychologists and psychometricians, while aligning their qualifications with international benchmarks.

Kliatchko, who previously helped revise the PAP Code of Ethics in 2022, continues to champion strong ethical standards to strengthen public confidence in the practice of psychology.

At UST, where he once coordinated the BA Behavioral Science program, he plans to continue advocating for improvements in psychology curricula and teaching methods nationwide.

He also intends to bring his expertise as a human resource and organizational development practitioner to address operational challenges within the association and the broader community it serves.
