UST OPENS VACCINATION SITE
TO BOOST the inoculation efforts of the city government of Manila, the University of Santo Tomas has allowed the use of its practice gym as a vaccination site.
The inoculation will start on Monday, July 26.
The city government of Manila said that 800 doses of Covid19 vaccine for priority groups A1 to A5 will be available at the university from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
UST Facilities Management Office Director Fr. Dexter Garcia said medical clerks and government health workers will administer the jabs, according to a report by the school’s publication The Varsitarian.
“Due to the limited number of available doses, only individuals who had pre-registered for vaccines would be inoculated. However, as vaccine stock increases the university could accept walk-in vaccinations,” he added.
CHED Chairman Prospero de Vera III earlier said at least 40 private and public HEIs have offered their facilities as vaccination centers or quarantine facilities.
