UST MOURNS PASSING OF CAMPUS MINISTRY DIRECTOR
THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas paid tribute to the director of its Center for Campus Ministry who died last June 25.
The school’s official publication, The Varsitarian, said Associate Professor Richard Pazcoguin died at 10:17 p.m. on Friday in UST Hospital of pneumonia. He was 41 years old.
“The University of Santo Tomas is saddened by the untimely demise of the Director of the Center for Campus Ministry, Associate Professor Richard G. Pazcoguin, O.P., MA.,” the school said.
Fondly known as ‘Sir Tsard’, Pazcoguin taught Theology courses in the Institute of Religion before heading the CCM.
He was also involved in the UST Parish, an active member of the Dominican Laity.
“Under his leadership, student religious organizations continued to be havens for the Catholic formation of our learners. We commend Sir Tsard to the Father’s loving embrace and are one with his family in mourning his passing,” the university said.
