UST LAW, HUNGARY UNIVERSITY SEAL ACADEMIC TIES WITH JOINT LECTURE

/ 17 December 2025

THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law strengthened its international engagement through a joint lecture and ceremonial exchange of a Memorandum of Agreement with Hungary’s Peter Pazmany Catholic University earlier this month.

Formally signed earlier in January, the agreement reinforces academic and research collaboration between the two institutions and was officially presented during the event.

The joint lecture was part of UST Law’s broader initiative to expand global partnerships and incorporate international perspectives into its legal education programs.

Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Allan B. Gepty, a member of the GS Law academic staff, delivered a lecture on international trade law, sharing insights grounded in the Philippine context.

Diplomatic support for the partnership was highlighted by the presence of Philippine Ambassador to Hungary Maria Elena P. Algabre and Hungarian Ambassador to the Philippines Titanilla Toth.

The event concluded with an exchange of tokens between the delegations, symbolizing strengthened cooperation as PPCU Rector Rev. Fr. Geza Kuminetz received gifts from the Philippine representatives.
