UST KEEPS STATUS OF HAVING HIGHEST NUMBER OF ACCREDITED PROGRAMS

/ 9 December 2021

FOR 11 straight years, the University of Santo Tomas has maintained its status of having the most number of accredited programs in the country.

The honor was certified by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation.

The university earned four recognitions during the PACUCOA General Assembly held on Tuesday, December 7.

UST was recognized for having the highest number of accredited programs in the country, highest number of Level IV accredited programs in the Philippines, and for winning in the Gawad Edukampyon 2021 for Excellence in Flexible and Responsive Management.

“Last October 25, the Commission on Higher Education conferred the inaugural Gawad Edukampyon for Excellence in Flexible and Responsive Management upon UST, acknowledging its efforts to transition a campus of over 40,000 stakeholders to a fully virtual learning environment,” the school said.

PACUCOA uses a five-level accreditation system, beginning from candidate status to Level IV, the highest level.

For Level IV, among the criteria assessed are teaching and learning outcomes, research productivity, community service, linkages and consortia, career planning and development for students, and planning process.
