UST INKS PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH CUT UNLIMITED ON HOLDING OF 15TH PH FOOD EXPO

/ 22 February 2023

THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas signed a partnership agreement with Cut Unlimited for the conduct of the 15th Philippine Food Exposition 2023.

The event will run from April 28 to 30, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed earlier this month by UST officials led by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Professor Dr. Cheryl Peralta and PhilFoodEx Inc. Director Mayose Bautista.

Under the agreement, both organizations will collaborate on various initiatives to promote Filipino culture, heritage and culinary tradition.

“It is not just about competing, but about hosting prestigious culinary events,” said UST College of Tourism and Hospitality Management Dean Assoc. Prof. Gezzez Giezi Granado.

During the previous Philippine Food Exposition, 21 booths representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao showcased a variety of Filipino cuisine.

“The upcoming exposition aims to provide a platform for local farmers to showcase their products and connect with foreign buyers who are interested in purchasing them. This can lead to increased demand and better prices for their crops or products, which can improve their income,” UST said.
