THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas  has disowned a Facebook page with information on UST General Santos City.

It called on the public not to patronize the fake account.

The university said the Facebook page is not connected to UST in any way.

“Please be warned that the said website is unauthorized, sham, or fraudulent, and any statement or public announcement from or through the said site whether in print, broadcast, or digital platform is unsanctioned by the University,” UST said in a statement.

“The University has no official Facebook page for UST General Santos City; hence, we encourage everyone not to patronize the fake page and instead report it as fictitious,” it added.

The school said that its official website and Facebook page can be accessed through www.ust.edu.ph and https://www.facebook.com/UST1611official/, respectively.

Those who have information on persons who created the fake page were urged to report it to [email protected], the school said.
