UST BS ACCOUNTANCY PROGRAM RECEIVES HIGH ACCREDITATION MARK
THE BS Accountancy program of the University of Santo Tomas-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy was granted Level III 1st Re-accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation.
The College earned a 4.71 average score out of 5.00 in the General Criteria and 4.63 average out of 5.00 in the Special Criteria in the accreditation report submitted by the PACUCOA team chaired by Dr. Rosita L. Navarro last month.
In the General Criteria, the college received a perfect score in Criterion I Philosophy and Objectives and Criterion X Organization and Administration, while doing 4.90 in Criterion II Faculty and Criterion VI Library. Scores range from 4.79 to 4.25 in other divisions.
Meanwhile, in the Special Criteria, the college received 4.46 in Criterion I Reasonably High Standard of Instruction, 4.50 in Criterion II Highly Visible Community Outreach Program, 4.75 in Criterion III Creditable Performance of Graduates in the Licensure Examination, and 4.98 in Criterion IV Extensive and Functional Library and Other Learning Resource Facilities.
The college will enjoy its five-year 1st Re-accreditation until 2024.
The BS Accountancy program joins nine other programs within the university with Level III status, the penultimate rank in the PACUCOA accreditation.
