UST AGAIN DECLARES ACADEMIC BREAK
THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas will again implement a two-day academic break from October 13 to 14.
All classes and office activities will be suspended during the break.
“Let us take advantage of this opportune time to reflect and seek God’s guidance and strength that we may continue our mission despite the uncertainties and challenges of our time,” UST said in an advisory.
The university declared a two-day academic break last September 20 to 21.
The Central Student Council, however, said the furlough is insufficient given the various concerns faced by learners amid the pandemic.
UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel clarified that the duration of the break was chosen with equal regard for stakeholders’ needs and the needs of the institution.
