AN alumna of the University of San Carlos in Cebu passed the USA Certified Management Accountant Examination offered by the Institute of Management Accountants.

Rica Mae Albiso got the second-highest score worldwide in the January/February 2023 window of the exam.

Albiso finished her bachelor’s degree in accountancy. She was magna cum laude.

“Since 2015, USC has produced graduates among the top three highest CMA scores worldwide as well as examinees of distinguished performance,” the university said.

The CMA examination is a global certification given annually by the IMA Board of Regents to measure the competencies of financial professionals and management accountants in different countries.

It covers topics on corporate governance and crucial business, financial and accounting principles.

To qualify for the exam, an individual must have two years of full-time work experience.
