ACCOUNTANCY students of the University of San Carlos in Cebu were the regional champions in the 23rd Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition.

Caroline Oliverio, Jericka Celine Mapula, Kyle Nicholas Taganas, Kristina Noelle Vistal, and Jeliel Bolido will compete in the national finals next month.

Out of participants from 87 schools, the USC team was one of the top 23 contenders nationwide during the simultaneous regional eliminations held in Manila, Cebu, Baguio, Pampanga, Davao, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.

Faculty coaches Rey Amaya, Joemel Dakay, and Oscar Villaflor mentored the team.

The ICFC is a knowledge-based academic competition for finance, banking and economics that aims to find the best finance teams in colleges and universities.
